Review and approve actions
Understand what waits for review, what approval does, and how to check the result.

An approval is your decision on a proposed action. Before approving, check the target, the content, and the effect. Approving an email proposal can send the message; it is not simply marking the draft as read.
What needs a decision
AI and MCP tools that propose changes stage them for review. Examples include email drafts, suggested pipeline moves, and proposed task changes. Read-only questions do not create an approval.
Manual actions follow the controls on their own screen. For example, a reply you write in Conversations uses the composer and its confirmation flow. It does not need a second AI proposal first.
Review an item
- Open Today and choose a pending approval, or find staged actions in Inbox.
- Read the proposed action and its supporting context. For messages, check the recipient as well as the wording.
- Choose the decision that matches your intent.

| Approve | Authorize the displayed action to run. A send may contact a real recipient. |
| Edit | Change the proposal, then review the revised version before approving. |
| Reject | Stop this proposed action. Give a reason when the interface offers it. |
Check what happened
Approval and successful execution are separate. Inspect the result after approving. A provider failure can leave authorized work unfinished. An accepted email send is also different from confirmed delivery to the recipient.
Use Activity and the action's result to investigate. If the outcome is unclear, check the existing request before creating another. Receipts explain the statuses to look for.
Autonomy and permissions
Approval requirements depend on the action and the workspace policy. Do not assume that repeated approvals automatically remove a gate. Review the relevant settings and current policy before relying on unattended work.
An external assistant cannot approve its own staged proposal through MCP. Its own confirmation prompt does not replace the Command Center's approval.
