Make Today your daily workspace

Arrange your business snapshot, decisions, work and App follow-up into saved views that fit your day.

Updated September 30, 2026 6 min read

Today starts with what needs your involvement: decisions first, then follow-up. Each attention row names its source, reason and next step when available. Business changes sit below that queue, while pipeline facts, upcoming commitments and automation provide supporting context. Open a record to inspect its context before acting.

Make the page fit your day

Choose More → Customize view to rename the current view, adjust spacing, add or remove modules, and arrange them by dragging or using the arrow buttons. Preview arrangement shows the module widths before you save. On a wide desktop, primary and supporting modules stack independently so a long list does not leave a gap below a shorter one. Full-width modules separate those groups. On narrower screens, all modules follow your saved order in one column.

Untouched built-in views use the action-first arrangement. On a narrow screen that arrangement reads Needs you, Business changes, Business overview, Upcoming, Automation, then actionable App follow-up. Existing customized documents keep their arrangement. The standard view omits the duplicate Ask your workspace panel; Ask AI remains available in the workspace controls.

On desktop, Search and Ask AI stay in the workspace toolbar as you scroll, so you can find a record or prepare the next step without leaving the page. On a phone, use Search in the top bar or Ask AI from the workspace menu.

Each module has a width and item limit. Attention modules also support type, source, time-horizon and task-owner filters. Save for Just me to keep your arrangement private, or Everyone in this workspace to change a shared view. The current workspace administrator role can manage shared views. Check Open this view by default to use it on your next visit.

For example, duplicate Business overview, name the copy “Focused day,” move Needs you first, set its time horizon to Through today, and save it for Just me as your default. Reload Today: Focused day remains selected. Your colleagues' personal defaults and the original shared arrangement are unchanged. Cancel closes an unsaved draft without changing the saved view.

Open More beside the view selector to customize, create, duplicate or delete a view. None of those controls deletes business records. You can save up to 12 views per scope, with up to 16 module instances in each view.

Read the context, then act

The Business overview shows open opportunities and pipeline value, with both figures linked to Pipeline. Pipeline value is not collected revenue. Decision and follow-up counts stay with their action queue instead of being repeated in the overview. When a completed Business Pulse brief is available, its AI interpretations are labeled separately and link to supporting facts. An interpretation is omitted when its evidence changes or it is more than a day old.

Needs you holds decisions and commitments. Open an item to inspect its reason, next step and related context. Complete or reschedule a task there, review an approval's exact change, or choose Prepare next step to open Ask AI with the source identified. Preparing a prompt does not execute it or send a message.

Pin an item to put it first within matching modules. Mute a watch finding to hide that exact evidence from your personal view; changed evidence brings it back. Restore muted findings clears those preferences. Choose More → Show all attention to include items excluded by the current arrangement or personal filters.

Automation shows recorded statuses, not an assumption that all work is running successfully. The standard view shows three current records; Show all current work expands the remaining records. Completed results is a separate disclosure. Open Details for the record's full reason, outcome and scheduled check. Repeated error text appears only once. Business changes labels operational alerts separately from business signals. Upcoming shows the next three commitments. Add Pipeline snapshot or Recent activity when you want an additional summary or timeline.

These are views over existing records. Work remains the editing workspace for tasks and approvals, and Activity records what happened.

Bring App follow-up into the day

App follow-up shows bounded records from enabled Collections and Opportunity Radar Apps. Open an entry to continue in its native workspace. The App still owns its records, permissions and approval workflow. Disabling it removes its Today contribution without deleting its records.

The standard view includes App follow-up only when it has actionable records or a source failure to report. Empty Apps do not create a promotional card.

For example, a Northline billing case appears with its next action. Open it in Collections to inspect outstanding invoice evidence before preparing a reminder. Opening Today does not contact the billing provider, send a reminder or run a Radar model request.

When there is little to show

Empty work modules explain what is missing and offer the relevant next step. Missing snapshot data appears as unavailable, not as a healthy zero. Short modules take only the space they need; a longer neighboring list does not push the next primary module down.

The page refreshes approximately every minute while active and when you return to the window. It holds the current content while you interact with a module or review a dialog. Show updates lets you apply new context deliberately. Your saved layout never rearranges itself because the record count changed.

What to check

  • A failed source reports its own unavailable state while other modules remain usable. On a failed refresh, retained content is the last successful observation, not proof that a task or connection is current.
  • If another session saves first, reload your views and review the newer arrangement before saving again. An uncertain save can be retried with the same changes without creating a second receipt.
  • Ask AI can read views and prepare exact layout or preference changes for approval. Only the proposing member can inspect the private preview and approve it. Changes still require current workspace access and the expected saved revision.
  • Factual context does not need a model request. Synthesized briefs use the existing Business Pulse worker, configured AI connection and budgets; unavailable AI falls back to facts. Viewing Today never starts a paid model call.
  • More → Use classic Today returns the workspace to its earlier page. An administrator can enable the new arrangement again without discarding saved views.
  • Self-hosted installations need the Today workspace migration and schema verification before saved views can be used. Missing storage preserves the existing preferences and reports an error; it does not silently replace them.
