Pipeline guides
Pipeline
Use the pipeline board
Move an opportunity forward and keep its next action clear.
Updated September 5, 2026 2 min read
The pipeline board shows potential business by stage. Each card is an opportunity with a value, linked people, and a next action.
1. Open the opportunity
Open Pipeline and select a card. Review the contact, company, recent activity, tasks, and proposals before changing its stage.
2. Move it when the evidence changes
Drag the card to the appropriate stage and complete any confirmation or required reason. Use the outcome of the conversation or proposal as your evidence. A stage should describe what happened, not what you hope will happen.
An AI-suggested stage change waits in Approvals. Review it before authorizing the move.
3. Leave a next action
Make the next commitment clear: what needs to happen, who owns it, and when it is due. Overdue tasks can surface on Today, where you can complete or snooze them.
4. Check the saved state
Confirm that the opportunity appears in the intended stage. If another person changed the record first, refresh and review their change before trying again. Do not overwrite a newer decision without understanding it.
Review closed business
Won and lost deals leave the working columns. Use the Revenue view to inspect closed business, and the opportunity's history to understand how it got there. Keep related delivery work linked to the same customer records.
